YOUR NEW FAVORITE DESIGNED SPOT IN THE HOUSE – THE OUTDOORS

While we were designing balconies and terraces the last couple of weeks (anyone that has one wants to maximize it more than ever nowadays) we noticed we could share some ideas as well as clever hacks that may be exactly what you need to make your outdoor space the place to be!

Hammocks

What could be possibly more relaxing than lying out in a hammock feeling a bit of summer wind or being sun kissed on a hot sunny day? Not much, especially when in quarantine! Moral of the story a hammock is always a great idea.

CANDLE CHANDELIER

We love this idea - lighting up the outdoors without having to wire anything up! All you need is mason jars, pillar candles and jute rope to tie it to the terrace beams or what could support the hanging beauties. We suggest a couple of things to make this magical effect happen: make sure to have space between the mason jars, tie them on different heights and place candles that have different heights as well. For safety reasons make sure to take them down on windy days.

NATURE COLOURS CREATING A ZEN EFFECT

On many of our projects we have noticed using a neutral colour palette to be the key to a meditative outdoor space. Enhancing it with a splash of specific accent colours connects your outdoor space to nature instantly. It is probably our favorite colour palette for terraces.

ROCKING CHAIR FOR SMALL BALCONIES

For the smaller of spaces a rocking chair, small side table, throw pillows and a blanket will do the magic.

CONNECTING THE INDOOR WITH THE OUTDOOR SPACE

Make your home feel bigger. A great way to do this is extending your indoor flooring to the exterior (as long as the material used is outdoor friendly) an easier way is adding greenery where the indoor meets the outdoor. These types of changes will definitely have you enjoying the outdoor much more.

THE PARISIAN EFFECT

If this is your style we have you covered. Bistro table sets come in all shapes and sizes, pick your favorite and use it as the centerpiece of your balcony. Add string lights, lots of plants, a baguette, selection of cheeses and a glass of wine for the ultimate Parisian night.
